Wahoos still close to Dana Point 10-25-2014
« on: October 26, 2014, 05:00:25 PM »
Alex Dupre of Dana Point bagged another wahoo on Saturday, October 25, 2014. This monster wahoo weighed in at 84 lbs, gilled and gutted (unofficial weight). This could be an IGFA record. This is the second consecutive wahoo in two consecutive days that Alex caught wahoo.  Friday's wahoo weighed in at 60 lbs plus.

Alex caught both wahoo in the same area between the 279 and the 181. Water temperatures still remain warm into this Fall and reports of marlin and wahoo are becoming more frequent. While fishing for marlin, Alex hooked his first wahoo on a marlin jig. This time a marauder wahoo lure hooked this amazing catch. Some guys have all the luck. Way to go, Alex!
